Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
From Saturday 14th July children are invited to join a world of excitement at Andover Library. This year’s Summer Reading Challenge is called Mischief Makers and celebrates 80 years of the Beano comic.
Children will need to visit the Library to borrow ANY six books of their choice, this includes; chapter books, non-fiction, graphic novels, audiobooks and more! As children read they will collect stickers to complete their map of Beano Town. Anyone that takes part will also be entered into a prize draw to win a Kindle Fire.
There are FREE craft activities at Andover Library all summer long. Children will be able to make; treasure chests, junk models and slime! Visit the website to learn more: https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/
End of Year Book Returns
It’s really important that all on-loan books are returned to the School Library before the end of term. Please help your child look at home for any books they may have borrowed. These resources will have either our school stamp inside or an SLS label on their spines. Look in bags, check shelves and anywhere else books may be found.
This amnesty will ensure all books are processed and available for loan in the new academic year. Everything must be brought back by Friday 20th July and a prize will be awarded to the class that returns the most!
Due to the amber weather warning for snow tomorrow - Thursday 1st March, please be prepared that the school may close at lunchtime. This is a decision we will make in order to keep pupils and staff safe when travelling home. We will make the decision as soon as possible and will inform you by text message. Please note this will include After School Club. Be prepared to collect your child as promptly as possible once you have received the message. Many thanks for your cooperation with this.
For your safety please do not attempt to come to school on Friday 2nd March until you have received a message from us. We will inform you either way by 7.30am.
Thank you!
Everyone at Roman Way is invited to join the Summer Reading Challenge at Andover Library. By borrowing and enjoying six books during the break, you will be helping the Animal Agents solve a mystery. Collect ‘Smelly Stickers’ after reading each book , with a certificate and gold medal awarded when the challenge is complete.
In addition to borrowing books, you can also take part in some brilliant creative workshops. Overall, this free and local event is a great way to keep you entertained during the holidays. We would like more children to complete this year's challenge than ever before! Can we be the best school in Andover?
