Every Friday, spellings will be sent home with your child. They are a mix of:
Year 1 common exception words - which your child needs to know how to spell by the end of Year 1.
High Frequency Words
Phonics Tricky Words.
Please practise these at home with your child so that they are ready for the test which will happen every Friday afternoon. We will also be practising the words with the children in school.
