Our five spelling words for this week all have /w/ and have the /-ar/ digraph afterwards
Children will have time to learn these spellings every morning when they come into school, they should also be practicing at home in preparation for our weekly spelling test on Friday Morning.
As part of our spelling recovery the other five words that children need to learn are common exception words.
The second part of our spelling teaching in school this week is that we will be learning about apostrophes for contractions, where letters are omitted from words when joined together.
