Our five spelling words for this week all end in -l or -ll.
Children will have time to learn these spellings every morning when they come into school, they should also be practicing at home in preparation for our weekly spelling test on Friday Morning.
As part of our spelling recovery the other five words that children need to learn are common exception words.
The second part of our spelling teaching in school this week is that we will be learning about the suffixes -ment, -ness and -ful. We will be examining and analysing how these suffixes change the meaning of a root word. Children can also complete the extra activities shared here .
