Number lines

Grab a pen and paper, and use a ruler to draw a number line. Write 0 and 1 at either end and mark ten intervals in between.

1.Label the following values on your number line.

  • five tenths
  • 0.35
  • ⁴⁄₁₀₀
  • sixty-nine hundredths
  • ⁸⁄₁₀

2. Explain why five tenths on the number line is the same as fifty hundredths.
