Guided Reading

Summer Reading Comprehension

We usually spend half an hour every day at school in our guided reading groups completing a range of activities, it's a great way for us to practice our reading and answer questions about the text and the author.

I'm sure you're all reading at home but I'll be adding some reading comprehension texts here for you to use at home and the best thing is that they are short pieces of writing with questions for you to answer.

Be sure to read the texts carefully and underline any words that you don't understand so that you can ask an adult or use a dictionary to find out what they mean.

Once you've checked your answers your family at home can check the answers for you (they're on the second page adults).wink

There will be four pieces of reading each week and then free reading on the fifth day, it's always good to have time to read your own bookyes.
