I can't believe we're in our last term of Year 5 already - it's gone so quickly!
Our new half term started with a change of classrooms - you'll now find us over in the huts.
Our topic this half term is the brilliant Tudors. We will be learning all about Henry VIII, Shakespeare and all aspects of Tudor living. We're lucky enough to have our topic enhanced by a trip the Hampton Court Palace on Wednesday 12th June where we'll be taking part in a kitchen workshop and visiting the rooms Henry VIII actually lived. Can't wait!
English this half term is inspired by Ocean Guardianship Week where we'll be writing emotive descriptions of plastic pollution. Following that, we'll be exploring the world of Shakespeare and focusing on the dark magic of 'Macbeth'.
We'll be using this half term to revise all of the amazing math we've done so far this year and making sure all the children are really confident in using all four operations, telling time, money and fractions.
Please keep reading daily and practicing the spellings that come home - we have a spelling test every Monday and the words can be found on the Home Learning Sheet.
Our Forest School date is: Thursday 13th June.
We have PE twice a week on Thursday and Friday. Please remember to bring kit to school on those days.
Club day is Thursday.
Any questions or concerns, please come and see me!
