Welcome to Milano's class page.
This year Year 2 are very lucky because they have two teachers! Mrs Skeates and Mrs Dixon. Our teaching assistant is Mrs Prentice.
In Summer 2 our topic is 'How does your garden grow?'. In this Topic we will be looking at how a bean grows and what it needs to survive. We will be carrying out Science experiments to investigate how the beans will grow in different environments.
We have been growing potatoes outside the classroom and are excited to see how many potatoes are produced.
We are going on a fieldtrip to Sir Harold Hillier Gardens on 6th July to learn more about plants, trees and the importance of bees.
During this half term the children will be keeping a weekly bean diary, describing how their beans are growing. Traditional stories are our other genre of writing and the children will be writing their own version of Jack and the Beanstalk along with creating a class story book of traditional tales.
